Vibe coders are professionals in the thing they call their job. They are creators, NGO people, sales managers, artists, start-up founders, social workers, cooks, journalists – they see problems from the inside: the small frictions, the missing screen, the one button that would save an hour.
At this point I say hello to the systems thinkers, who immediately see where I’m going with this:
The creative process of a human being
Our ability to create solutions is rooted in our experience of real life. We are able to create products and solutions and to kick off a project because we have an idea, a vision of how something needs to be done. And even the best professional coder in the world rarely knows the dynamics and rules of your particular industry, niche or environment.
Sure, you can give a professional developer technical requirements. But WHY something is built the way it is comes one step before we even talk about technical implementation. It is human-centered.
Until now, an expert with a problem had two options: live with it — or pay a developer, who builds the way developers build. Today the people who live the problem are able to build the solution. Their knowledge goes straight into the tool. That is why it takes routes no classical developer would take — not because they code better, but because they know better what the situation needs.
They build things to help, to support and, sure, to save money. Because vibe coding has lifted barriers. Not long ago we needed competence in coding, or money, to manifest our idea or product. Now AI agents are the tool with which we manifest things in code. That is exactly the part vibe coders dare to do.
And while vibe coders do it, they create a whole new process of how software is developed, free from the paradigms of the past – because they never learned them. That is how Petar built PAPONOX with his son Dejan: Apple’s Logic, steered entirely without a screen — built by a blind man, for blind musicians.
By 2030, around 300 million people will be building with AI – our projection, based on a Gartner forecast. They are building a new world, because they enrich how software is built with their approaches, workflows, language and ways of thinking.
Dear systems thinkers, do you think many of you are already vibe coding? Well … I think so.
